From those who learn,
to those who lead
The path to teaching international protocol
Certified Instructor · Registered Faculty of IPAA
The world is waiting for those who can teach it grace
Will you join those
who shine upon the world stage?
To carry grace · to the world
In an age when artificial intelligence assumes so much of our work, and in a society where borders soften and cultures converge, the ability to convey respect from one person to another is needed as never before.
There are those, the world over, who seek this ability. Yet those who can teach it as something authentic remain very few indeed.
Those who have cultivated their bearing at ICPA may take a further step — from those who learn, to those who lead. To become the one who conveys grace, in their own voice.
To be sought upon the world’s stage — that path begins here.
Those who have walked the path may, in time, light it for others
Qualification is not the end,
but the beginning
To qualify at ICPA is not to conclude one’s study. It is to begin one’s relationship with the academy.
Those who complete their qualification remain, for life, part of a family of specialists who walk alongside the academy — continuous guidance from the Principal, access to the curriculum, and an international community. These are opened only after qualification, never before.
And beyond them lies one further path: the path of standing to teach.
Three doors
that open at once
To those who obtain ICPA’s Specialist Qualification, three paths open together. Each is one that cannot be found elsewhere.
Ready from the first day
To Practise at OnceThe Certified Instructor qualification and the right to conduct accredited courses are conferred upon you. Under your own name, you may teach courses founded upon the ICPA system. No period of preparation, no apprenticeship. Qualification is itself the beginning of your practice — and to the expertise you already hold, the endorsement of international authority is added.
Registered Faculty of IPAA
Entrusted with EngagementsYou are entered as registered faculty of the International Protocol Accreditation Association (IPAA). The academy receives a continuous stream of training requests — from embassies, government agencies, the US military, and global enterprises. Such engagements we bring to our registered faculty. Rather than seeking clients yourself, the trust placed in the academy becomes the setting for your practice.
A path unlike any other
The Only Path of Its KindTo teach Japanese protocol and bearing, in English, to an international audience — this qualification can be conferred by ICPA alone, nowhere else in the world. To inherit the true tradition of Japan, and to stand among those who convey it to the world. Those who walk this path become, anywhere on earth, irreplaceable.
Not a vision,
but what is already happening
Those who have obtained ICPA’s qualifications already stand upon their own stages, across the world.
Their journey is the journey open to those who follow.
Teaching Japanese protocol in Europe
Esteemed European etiquette consultants have obtained the academy’s Japanese Protocol Specialist Qualification, and now deploy instruction founded upon the ICPA system across the cities of Europe.
Teaching within the U.S. Air Force
A protocol officer travelled from the United States to Japan and obtained the academy’s Japanese Diplomatic Protocol Specialist Qualification. ICPA instruction is now delivered within the U.S. Air Force on American soil.
Executives teaching their own clientele
Industry leaders across Japan have obtained the academy’s qualifications and now conduct instruction for their own executive clientele. To their existing enterprise, the value of international authority has been added.
Adding authority to one’s own practice
Executive coaches and mentors add the endorsement of international authority to their own expertise, and as certified instructors offer courses of their own design.
Each is one who obtained their qualification at the academy.
Not through any exceptional pedigree, but as the result of dedicated study, they now stand where they do.
The path to standing as faculty
Cultivate
Within the Specialist Qualification course, under the direct instruction of the Principal, one masters the discipline. This period is itself the time of walking alongside one’s teacher.
Qualify
Upon review, the Specialist Qualification is conferred. The Certified Instructor qualification and the right to conduct accredited courses open at the same moment.
Register with IPAA
As registered faculty of the accreditation association, your name is entered, and the engagements received by the academy are brought to you.
Open your own way
Beyond conducting accredited courses, you may offer courses of your own design. The guidance of the Principal continues thereafter.
What it means for the world
to recognise your qualification
Accredited by IPAA · Internationally recognised through LEPSW
Qualifications are conferred by IPAA — the International Protocol Accreditation Association. The separation of education and accreditation upholds the objectivity and the international credibility of every certification.
ICPA is the sole academy accredited by LEPSW — the Leading Etiquette and Protocol Schools of the World — as the representative of Japan. What registered faculty carry is not a domestic qualification, but an authority recognised internationally.
