Ms Mika Hatori: Completed the beginner programme

Once I realised that manners and etiquette are not rules that someone else has decided to follow, but rather the starting point of how to behave in order not to offend others when communicating, I understood why the mannerisms were considered manners and I enjoyed learning them.

I attended The Finishing Touch Beginner’s Intensive Course.

I was able to spend very intensive study time in five days, once a week, and the month from the start of the course to the end was very fulfilling.

Once I realised that manners and etiquette are not rules that someone else has decided to follow, but rather the starting point of how to behave in order not to offend others when communicating, I understood why the mannerisms were considered manners and I enjoyed learning them. It became more enjoyable to learn.

It was a grand and enjoyable experience to unravel the history of the world from the beginning of time in order to learn about etiquette and manners.

It was interesting to learn that in every age, people have thought about the other person and acted accordingly, which has accumulated and led to the etiquette and manners of today.

The courses are not only classroom lectures, but also achievements in table manners and the possibility to participate in regular social events.

I would like to continue learning at the intermediate and advanced levels and be the one to pass on this learning.
