Privacy Policy – ICPA International Protocol Co.,Ltd
ICPA International Protocol Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) establishes the following policy regarding the handling of personal information and declares its commitment to publicize and comply with it.
(Compliance with Laws and Regulations)
The Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the provisions of the Telecommunications Business Act concerning the secrecy of communications, other related laws and regulations, the Guidelines for Personal Information Protection in the Telecommunications Business (hereinafter referred to as the “Guidelines”), and this Privacy Policy regarding the acquisition, use, and handling of personal information, among other matters.
(Protection of User Rights and Interests)
The Company implements the following main measures to protect the rights and interests of users in relation to the protection of personal information:
a. When requested by the individual, the Company takes measures such as discontinuing direct mail or telemarketing solicitations.
b. The Company may entrust the handling of personal information, either in whole or in part, within the scope of the intended use. In selecting the recipients of such entrusted handling, the Company chooses those who are deemed to handle personal information properly, establishes appropriate provisions in the entrustment agreement regarding security management, confidentiality, and other matters related to the handling of personal information, and conducts necessary and appropriate supervision.
(Purpose of Use)
The Company acquires and uses personal information for the following purposes:
a. Provision of various services operated by the Company.
b. Billing for the use of various services operated by the Company.
c. Improvement of various services operated by the Company and development of new services.
d. Information on various events and new services organized or co-organized by the Company.
(Limited Use within the Purpose of Use)
The Company will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary for achieving the purpose of use without obtaining the prior consent of the individuals. However, in the following cases, the Company may handle the personal information of users (excluding information pertaining to the secrecy of communications) beyond the scope necessary for achieving the specified purpose without obtaining the user’s consent, provided that the purpose has been specified and publicly announced:
a. When required by law.
b. When necessary for the protection of a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult.
c. When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult.
d. When cooperation is necessary for a national government agency, local government, or a person entrusted by them to perform tasks prescribed by law, and obtaining the user’s consent may hinder the performance of such tasks.
(Appropriate Acquisition)
The Company will not acquire personal information through false or other fraudulent means.

(Retention Period)
The Company establishes a retention period for personal information within the necessary scope for the purpose of use and promptly deletes the personal information of users upon the expiration of the retention period or upon achievement of the purpose of use. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
a. When retention is required by law.
b. When the user has given consent.
(Security Measures)
The Company takes necessary and appropriate security measures to ensure the accuracy and up-to-dateness of users’ personal information and to protect it from unauthorized access, tampering, leakage, loss, or destruction.
(Supervision of Employees)
The Company provides necessary and appropriate supervision to its employees to ensure the secure management of users’ personal information. The Company also conducts education and training for employees to ensure the proper handling of personal information.
(Supervision of Contractors)
The Company may entrust the handling of personal information, either in whole or in part, within the scope of the intended use for various services, including service provision and reception, fee-related tasks, marketing, and other operations. In such cases, the Company selects recipients who are deemed to handle personal information properly, establishes appropriate provisions in the entrustment agreement regarding security management, confidentiality, re-entrustment conditions, and other matters related to the handling of personal information, and conducts necessary and appropriate supervision.
(Provision to Third Parties)
The Company may share user information with third parties in the following cases:
a. When required by law.
b. When necessary for the protection of a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult.
